Photo opportunities - unusual places

The day was interesting with the rolling cloud cover, sunny QLD not quite completely sunny as the airport started to become overcast.
A big thank you to the Jet Start team that let me stay on the tarmac a few minutes prior to boarding to take this series of pictures.

Sturt Pea

Floral Emblem of South Australia Sturt's Desert Pea, Swainsona formosa, was adopted as the floral emblem of South Australia on 23 November 1961, using the name Clianthus formosus. This species, a member of the pea family, Fabaceae, is confined to Australia, where it occurs in all mainland States except Victoria. The original collection was made in 1699 by William Dampier on Rosemary Island in the Dampier Archipelago where he collected a specimen from: "a creeping vine that runs along the ground ... and the blossom like a bean blossom, but much larger and of a deep red colour looking very beautiful".

Mothers Day

Well in part it all started with this lady, my mum.
So today I would like to say thank you and happy mums day!

The angels, whispering to one another,
Can find, among their burning terms of love,
None so devotional as that of "Mother"
Edgar Allan Poe

Mother my light, for you I shine.

Happy Mothers Day
Love the big one xx

Welcome to the Kitty Blog

Hiya and Welcome!

What a fantastic way to share my passion of photography by blogging my image capture process.

My photographs have been taken over a period of time in the Pilbara region in Western Australia, the camera used was a Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL.
The inspiration is based on flow in my environment. The flow of colour, light, texture and energy. The feel for my images is based on detail, and the thrill of looking closer at nature.
My aim is to capture images in natural light and not digitally enhance.

Thank you for your time in sharing my passion.

Stay tuned for the adventures of Kitty.
